Research and development as a main company focus
Kajo Shofu founded the "Shofu Porcelain Teeth Research Institute" as early as 1918. The SHOFU anatomically shaped teeth, the first porcelain teeth designed in Japan, were developed here for the Japanese market and produced from 1922. This product innovation formed the basis of SHOFU ceramic development and ceramic technology and so began the successful development of the SHOFU Dental company.
