It's all about quality at SHOFU

More than 80 years ago, Kajo Shofu founded the firm in Kyoto, Japan. The company soon flourished and gained a significant reputation for producing high quality ceramic teeth and the development of rotary instruments.
SHOFU Dental GmbH, one of the large international dental companies, has had its headquarters in Ratingen since 1978. Since 1985 this German SHOFU subsidiary represents the interests of the Japanese parent company SHOFU INC. throughout Europe, Africa and well beyond the Near and Middle East.
Most people think of rotary instruments when the name SHOFU appears, because it is precisely in this area that the Japanese company has earned its good reputation. However, Shofu can look back on its long-standing experience with dental porcelains as well as crown and bridge materials.
Over the past decades the SHOFU range of products has been extended and refined considerably. Meanwhile, the product range covers important areas of dentists' and dental technicians' requirements:

SHOFU Dental GmbH, Ratingen, was certified according to ISO 9002/EN 46002 in 1996 with Shofu Dental Products Ltd. following in 1997 to BSEN ISO9002 and EN46002. In 1997 Shofu INC., Kyoto, was certified according to the ISO 9001/EN 46001 guideline for medicinal products. In order to keep to these high quality standards, all the necessary steps are taken by the SHOFU company. These include, among other things, a high-standard delivery service, personal advice to and training of the specialist trade and of product users, participation at trade fairs and exhibitions, and close cooperation with universities worldwide.
