Minimum shrinkage and shrinkage stress
Polymerisation shrinkage is a key parameter for the success or failure of direct composite restorations. Modern, low-shrinkage composites like BEAUTIFIL II LS help to prevent microleakage and marginal discolouration. When used in combination with reliable bonding systems, they enable dentists to create truly durable and aesthetic restorations.
The low polymerisation shrinkage helps to avoid major difficulties in restorative therapy.
Polymerisation shrinkage
This diagram shows the polymerisation shrinkage* of BEAUTIFIL II LS tested according to ISO 17304:2013 (E) in comparison with competitive products: BEAUTIFIL II LS achieves a value of only 0.85 % by vol., the lowest volumetric shrinkage of all materials tested.
Shrinkage stress
The shrinkage stress* of BEAUTIFIL II LS is also impressive: It shows one of the lowest values (10.9 MPa) of all composites tested.
Optical characteristics
BEAUTIFIL II LS mimics the light transmission and diffusion effects of enamel and dentine thanks to its unique filler technology. This perfect adaptation allows dentists to create restorations with the optical characteristics of natural teeth.
Natural light reflection and gloss retention
BEAUTIFIL II LS restorations can quickly be polished to a high gloss – for very smooth surfaces with minimal plaque retention sites and a long-lasting lustre.
Shade range
The BEAUTIFIL II LS composite system consists of ten popular tooth shades, two opaque dentine shades, one enamel shade and one bleach shade. It enables users to meet various aesthetic requirements in both multi-layer and single-layer techniques. The shade range is identical with that of BEAUTIFIL II and features excellent colour stability.
The shades A1-C3 correspond to the VITA Classical Shades.
