BeautiLink SA by SHOFU: The all-round luting solution
BeautiLink SA is a dual-cured, self-adhesive resin cement. It is easy to handle, due to its ideal viscosity, and strongly, reliably and durably bonds alloys, ceramics (e.g. lithium disilicate), zirconia and indirect composites to enamel and dentin. With minimal technique sensitivity and without pretreatment.
However, to enhance the adhesive bond of indirect restorations with low retentive surfaces (e.g. short crowns, tabletop onlays) to the tooth, preconditioning of the tooth surface with BeautiBond Xtreme is advisable.
Remarkable strength and durability
BeautiLink SA creates a strong chemical bond between the natural tooth structure and metal or zirconia surfaces. It simplifies the cementation process regardless of the restorative used and eliminates the need for an additional primer. A newly developed silane coupling agent ensures reliable luting to silane-based materials, such as porcelain and lithium disilicate.
The highly reactive catalyst system not only provides strong, quick and reliable adhesion, but also improves long-term stability and gives BeautiLink SA superior mechanical properties. The result: high resistance to occlusal stress for durable, long-lasting restorations.
Fluoride recharge and release thanks to GIOMER technology
Recurrent caries is the most common cause of crown failure. Thanks to SHOFU’s proprietary GIOMER Technology, BeautiLink SA can recharge and release fluoride during the entire lifespan of a restoration – depending on the intraoral fluoride concentration. This does not affect the strength and stability of the resin cement. BeautiLink SA recharges fluoride ions from external sources, e.g. fluoride mouth rinses, professional prophylaxis or toothpaste.
Particularly strong bond to zirconia restorations
Today, zirconia is the standard material for posterior crowns and the first choice for anterior and posterior restorations. BeautiLink SA is specifically designed for zirconia restorations. As an all-round solution, it ensures excellent retention and marginal integrity, creating a reliable bond to this high-strength ceramic material. The bond strength, though already high, can be further increased by pretreatment with an adhesive, such as BeautiBond Xtreme.
Shade Selection
BeautiLink SA is available in 3 shades:
- Clear: Highly transparent, expressing the aesthetics of tooth stump and restoration.
- Ivory: Equivalent to A2 and suitable for cases with visible margin lines.
- Opaque: Equivalent to A3 – a thin film with high colour masking on metal abutments or discoloured teeth.
